How do you use your PC to achieve your goals and dreams?
Sponsored by WePC.com. Help us make your Dream PC a reality.
I work on the computer, and we opened our own computer business, which is doing very very well considering we're still in our first year. So if this keeps going, and I can go into the office more to help, then hopefully we can pay off our debt and own a house... that is the extend of my dream right now. A house, on a large property with lots of trees for privacy. And possibly a hunk of land up north where it's sparsely populated so that we can go up for summer vacations, or Lee can go hunt, or what have you.
:D
What are your fitness goals? What is helping or preventing you from accomplishing them?

Lose... X pounds. (I'm not letting that one out - exactly how much I could stand to lose)
I wasn't always concerned with how fit I was, as from an athlete's perspective. I am not interested in running marathons or anything like that. I am interested in maybe toning my arms and legs a little, improve my arm strength.
Lazyness gets in the way of my goals, as well as an enjoyment of cooking tasty food.
Although, I mentioned recently I lost 10lbs from worrying so much about finances (and a few other things), that I am finding it easier to control cravings because I really really really don't want to put that little bit of weight back on!! If I can lose another 10 in the next month or so... I will be really really really really really really happy!
From the design to the features, what should the perfect kid-friendly laptop include? What would you leave out?

I've actually wondered about this a few times.
A few times I have thought that a special children's keyboard would be ideal. Something you could hook up when you run certain games, but I suppose a whole laptop would work just as well.
Since our children are 5 and 3 a colorful keyboard/laptop would be good. Depending on the games, the keys should be color coded. For instance there could be a music program, and say all the keys on the first row are one color, 2nd row another, etc. And they would act like different instruments (drums on bottom row, space bar the bass drum).
Some keyboards have special function keys that you can program, so there would be a one for the main menu, maybe shaped like a small house (for home). Something intuitive so they can switch games.
And of course on the main menu would be a place for parents to click or press and enter a password to get into the guts, for updates or other things. Like setting internet settings, and restrictions. In case your child is older and you want to let them on the internet to an extent.
On bootup it should have a couple options, the kids accounts, and the parent one, which again is password protected
They have those mock laptop computer games out there like LeapFrog etc, but those are limited to their own game cartridges, and expensive. With an actual laptop with a special kids casing, its easier to scale it, add to it, upgrade it, and add your own programs into it. And any company or individual could build a game or learning program that will work with the keyboard layout and features.
I think my 5 year old would be on this thing all the time if we had one.
How many times a month do you eat out in a restaurant? Do you wish you dined out more or less?
On average.... 0.5 times a month.
Which makes it once every 2 months.
That is actual eating out at a place that you dont get your food on a tray.
I would love to eat out more, but the places we like cost money, and time, and babysitters.
What's one thing a houseguest should always do?
Not slam the fricken bathroom door late at night when they go to pee.
Seriously.
We've had a few of Lee's friends stay over if they had too much to drink. We have a comfy couch and a few blow up mattresses. It's no big deal.
But we have small children. And I know a couple guys who had little to no experience with small children... just stomp through the house... cause they stomp at home... and closed the bathroom door with a big shove.
SLAM
Our house isn't that large, so I usually end up yelling from my bed "Don't slam the door!"
Close doors quietly if you are in a house with kids under 5!
If you were to open up a business of your own, what would it be?

hmmm, tough question... lemme think.
;)
Who was your best friend in grade school? Where is he/she now?
Her name is Sherie, and it's her wedding that I am going to next month!
Even though we live about 6 hrs apart now (in college she moved to the east coast, but moved back after grad), we still keep in touch as much as we can.
Have you ever walked out of a movie?
Submitted by Jack Yan.
No, but there were a few I wished I had!!!
- Insomnia: with Robin Williams and Al Pacino. You'd think that pairing would be good. But holy crap was it dull and dumb.
- Twilight: sorry to all the fans, but I just couldn't take it. I am not a chick-flick person, but sometimes I encounter one that is interest and entertaining. This was not one of them. It was aimed too much at the pre-teen crowd. And I even enjoy Harry Potter. Hell, Lee enjoys Harry Potter. But this was just... LAME. I guess you can't please everyone. I was often banging my head against the back of my chair, wondering when it was going to stop. The main actor reminded me too much of the new guy they got to play Annikan Skywalker in the new Star Wars movies. He looked like he had gas the entire time.
And there were a couple I glad I just rented... or borrowed... and didn't have to spend my precious few moments outside the house without kids in a theater trapped with a crappy movie.
- Hellboy 2: just dont! it was awful
- Alien Vs Predator: Requiem: OMG! Baaaaaaaaad
- Tron: We tried to rewatch that movie... and I was dying from all the cheesiness.
- Cradle to the Grave: Had promise, good actors... just meh.
That's all I can remember at the moment. The really bad ones stick with you. Im sure there are other really bad ones, but I chose not to watch them in the first place. These are the ones I actually sat through.
To this day I want to be able to scrub Twilight from my memory.
When I got home that night, Lee found me a sufficiently violent movie to watch. :D
